One of my favorite outfits to wear to school in the Fall is a blazer, booties, and a huge scarf. It’s so easy and comfortable for sitting on the rug with the kids all day, but the blazer still makes the look polished. This scarf is absolutely delicious in person, and it’s on sale for under $25!! I’m also in love with Carla Mancini bags, and I get them at a discount whenever they’re on HauteLook (they’re sold out now, but check back every now and then if you’re interested!) Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!!

finally fall

Happy Fall, lovers!!! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA on the blog, but now that I’ve gotten my class up and running and the craziness of September is behind me, I’m back! Fall is arguably the best season for a number of reasons, but the obvious reason for me is the clothes! I am such a layerer (is that a word? I think no, but just go with me) and being able to throw a blazer or leather jacket on with a  pair of booties and run out the door is just the best. Speaking of booties, I have been on the hunt for a great pair of brown booties since last year, and I finally found them! Check these out (they also come in other colors) and I promise you won’t be disappointed. Also, I got this blazer/coat/not sure what to call it but you get the idea from Zara in London when my mom and I went this summer and I’m so glad I did! And I’m so glad they still have it so you guys can share in the amazingness! Now off to arrange my pumpkins… :)

holiday look: jumpsuit edition

Once, when I was about 13, I somehow ended up in the wrong section of Barneys while shopping with my mom. You’re probably thinking, “There is no wrong section of Barneys. This girl is nuts.” And I’d almost agree with you. Except on that day, my 13-year-old self was sifting through a pile of what I had decided was the most genius innovation I had ever seen: Thanksgiving pants!!! (Except, of course, they were maternity pants, and the salesman promptly came over to usher me into another department through nervous gasps of “Oh, honey, no” and “I do hope these aren’t for you…”) And though I was mortified at the time (to be honest, most of that year was spent in a consistent state of mortification) I think I was on to something. Why shouldn’t we be comfortable in our clothing, especially on days that are all about food? Err, being thankful. There weren’t many options for us way back when, but I am thrilled to say times have changed. Meet my new best friend, and one you will undoubtedly be bringing to your Thanksgiving table next year: The Jumpsuit.

PS: Apologies for the boring location of these pics. It’s like 2 degrees outside and my hubby wouldn’t let me out in short sleeves ;)
