One of my favorite go-to looks for summer is white on white. Though if I’m being honest, I’m a proponent of the color scheme all year long. I love a monochromatic outfit in general, and with all white pieces you just can’t go wrong. In the summer, I add a pop of red on my nails, my favorite pair of cork wedges (that are about a hundred years old), and a straw bag – done and done!

I looovvveeee a summer floral print. I actually don’t love a lot of prints because sometimes they can be too busy for me, but it’s really hard to go wrong with a bold floral. I especially love how this top has bits of black in it which will help take this piece right into Fall. I got this top off the Kora Rae website a few months ago, and I don’t see it on there anymore, but you’ll see this beautiful print on a few other pieces on their site if you love it like I do! I also had to share these slingbacks with you guys. I’m a huge Sam Edelman lover because they’re always super comfortable, stylish, and a great price point. These are no exception. They’re suede, so ordinarily I’d wait to wear these until September but I just had to share them with you so you can grab them before they sell out everywhere! Slingbacks are also so much more comfortable than pumps for me, so you can imagine how psyched I was to find these. I have a feeling I’ll be getting them in other colors sooner than later. And one last note – the bag I’m carrying here is actually called an “iPad clutch” – I don’t really care what it was originally made for but I took one look at that gold bow and I just couldn’t turn it down!
Hope you guys are having a fabulous first day of August (aka: The Beginning of the End for us teachers).

One of the best things about summer in NYC is the nightlife…Though I wouldn’t exactly call myself an expert since my idea of a Friday night well-spent is grabbing 16 Handles and watching a movie on the couch. That being said, I do like to go out and dance every once in a while with my girlfriends. And on those occasions, especially since they’re few and far between, I love to wear something fabulous and step outside my comfort zone a little. I wouldn’t exactly describe my style as trendy – I typically wear more basic pieces and spruce them up with little trends here and there – but I saw this crop top/skirt ensemble in Bloomies a few weeks ago and just fell in love! I think part of the reason why I’m ok with it is because it only shows a teeny bit of belly, and the top has short sleeves which helps balance out the lack of fabric elsewhere. I wore this a few weeks ago to a bachelorette party in Charleston and got so many compliments! What do you like to wear when you go out?
Hiiiii guys!!!! Thanks for being patient with me while I’ve enjoyed summer and totally neglected my blog…I’m so happy to be back, though! I hope you are having the best summer too and all my teachers out there are enjoying this precious time. G and I shot some really cool looks this weekend that I’ll post in the next few days and I think you’re going to love.
I’m really excited to share this workout look with you today. I don’t know about you, but for me, having cute workout gear is a complete motivator for me to workout! When I first joined Exhale and started doing Core Fusion a few years ago, I gave my workout wardrobe some lovin’ and I couldn’t wait to put on all my new stuff and hit the studio each day. So if you’re anything like me, you’ll seriously enjoy my newest workout line obsession: Outdoor Voices. The pants I’m wearing in this post are super soft and stretchy, and they allow me to get into all my core fusion positions with ease (my favorite of course being child’s pose, ha). They’re also really opaque so I never have to worry about being that girl in class who’s inadvertently flashing everyone…(we’ve all been there). If you’re looking for some workout motivation, I highly recommend checking out Outdoor Voices!

Here are a few more pieces from OV that I have my eye on: Springs Legging, Catch Me if You Can Hoodie, 3/4 Two-Tone Warmup Legging, Racerback Tank
I am SO unbelievably excited that it’s actually starting to feel like spring! I realize that’s kind of all I talk about, haha. Long winter. Today I took a little walk to Starbucks and it was amazing – 60 degrees!! In case you’ve been following my treatment, I’m now allowed to go out for a few minutes here and there – back to normal life on Thursday! :) :)
When the weather warms up, my favorite outfits usually involve some type of cardigan/jacket/blazer. Adding layers to a look is something I absolutely love about fall and winter, and I really don’t see why that should have to change when it gets warmer, unless it’s just unbearably hot. What I also love about adding a jacket is that it helps transition from one season to another quite seamlessly. The JCrew tweed peplum jacket I’m wearing in this post can be really wintery, but paired with a nautical striped tee and cropped distressed denim it helps bring the whole look into early spring. And this tee is amazing. It actually has gold zipper detail at the shoulders! I have a feeling I’m going to be wearing it a lot…so stay tuned. I can’t find the exact one on the JCrew website, but I linked a similar one! It’s pretty recent, so it may still be available in stores.
Hope all my teacher friends on break are enjoying every moment!

Hey guys!! Thanks for being patient with me while I took a little hiatus from blogging! My life is a little crazy right now as you know if you’ve been following me on Insta, so something kind of had to give. But now I’m back and having the best time dressing for my favorite season! :)
Well, I guess it’s not quite spring in NYC yet, but we’re definitely getting there. And that’s great for me, because I absolutely loooove spring fashion. When the weather starts to warm up, I love to pair breezy tops with light jackets and cute flats and call it a day. Leather jackets are such a huge wardrobe staple, and I really don’t think you can have too many. I always find myself wearing them in totally different ways, so it helps to have a few different styles and colors to choose from. The one I’m wearing in this post is an old favorite – it just keeps getting softer every year I have it in my closet! What are you most excited about this season?

I don’t know why, but lately I’ve been really into putting together outfits around different styles of denim. Last week it was flared, this week, it’s boyfriend. I guess you could call these a modified version of boyfriend jeans, though, because I don’t do very well with downright sloppy. This pair has the right amount of slouch and rips without completely looking like I’m wearing men’s jeans. Anytime I wear really distressed jeans, I think it’s important to keep the rest of the look polished. A suede jacket, structured bag, and stiletto booties do the trick!
In the spirit of full disclosure, people looked at me like I was completely out of my mind when G and I shot this look. First – it’s absolutely freezing out. Second – we’re still trying to figure out my new camera and were up and down the street taking pics of each other for like a half hour, haha :)
