Maxi: PinkBlush Maternity (on sale!!) / Wedges: Badgley Mishka (on sale!!) / Sunnies: Tory Burch / Necklace: BaubleBar
Ok, ok, I am officially the #worstbloggerever. Can I use pregnancy as an excuse?? It seems to work well on just about everything else…ha. But seriously, I have totally neglected the blog since I announced my pregnancy and I’ve been feeling so guilty about it! I’d like to say I’m going to up my blogging game in the next few months, but with a new baby coming this summer I just don’t know if I can make any promises! I do have some other really awesome pieces (baby-related and otherwise) to share with you guys, though, so I’m going to make every effort to post on here more.
It’s been a lot easier for me to stay up-to-date with posting on Insta, and if you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed I’m not that into your typical “maternity” clothes. I’ve really been trying to make most of my regular clothing work, and supplementing with a few things here and there that just wouldn’t work without a different cut. Bonus if I can wear it during and after pregnancy! For my maternity wardrobe, the only things I’ve bought that are actually “maternity” are jeans, a couple long tanks, long and short sleeved tees, and a few dresses like this maxi I’m wearing in the photos above. One of the reasons why I love this dress is because I’m planning on wearing it after I have the baby too because without the belly bump it’ll just fall nicely to the floor.
This dress is by a company called PinkBlush Maternity, and they have some really cute pieces that can be worn both during and after pregnancy (they also have a non-maternity line). I love throwing on a maxi when the weather is warm with just a light jacket over it and some fun accessories because it’s SO easy, and that’s kind of the name of my game these days. Anyway, I’m so excited to share with you guys because I’m hosting a giveaway right now where you can win a $75 gift card to PinkBlush!! See my post on Insta for rules on how to enter.
Thanks for stopping by and being patient with the biggest blogging slacker in NYC! :)
Scarf: SoCal Gems / Boots: Stuart Weitzman / Hat: JCrew
A few months into winter, I start to miss my cute little leather jackets that get so much wear in the spring and fall! So sometimes I like to add them as an extra layer in the winter, almost like a blazer. Yesterday it was freezing, so I wore a black sweater dress with leggings and my OTK black boots, a giant blanket scarf, and my leather moto jacket as an extra layer. Also this weather kind of limits my photo location because G won’t let me go outside without a jacket (ha), so my classroom had to do for this one!
This week I’m so excited to be co-hosting a link-up – look at me using all these bloggery terms – with Elle from Living in Color Style and Jacqueline from Stylin’ in St. Louis! To link-up and see how they styled their winter layers, follow the directions & click the link below! Update: The link isn’t working right now, but head to Living in Color Style and Stylin’ in St. Louis to see their cute looks!!

Happy Monday, guys!! This past week MTC hit a big milestone as I reached 5,000 followers on Instagram! When I started posting my outfits last year and then eventually blogging (sometimes…ha), I never dreamed it would turn into such a fun after-school activity. I love connecting with other teachers, and all the positive support I’ve gotten from this amazing community. So in the spirit of giving thanks, I’ve teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers and we’re giving away $200 to Target or Teachers Pay Teachers! Could you imagine a better way to start your week?!

Scarf: SoCal Gems Blazer: Banana Republic / Jeans: Genetic Denim / Booties: Sam Edelman / Sunnies: Karen Walker / Bag: Carla Mancini
One of my favorite outfits to wear to school in the Fall is a blazer, booties, and a huge scarf. It’s so easy and comfortable for sitting on the rug with the kids all day, but the blazer still makes the look polished. This scarf is absolutely delicious in person, and it’s on sale for under $25!! I’m also in love with Carla Mancini bags, and I get them at a discount whenever they’re on HauteLook (they’re sold out now, but check back every now and then if you’re interested!) Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!!
Top: Zara / White Jeans: AG / Clutch: Mar Y Sol (similar) / Sunnies: Retro Super Future (diff color)
One of my favorite go-to looks for summer is white on white. Though if I’m being honest, I’m a proponent of the color scheme all year long. I love a monochromatic outfit in general, and with all white pieces you just can’t go wrong. In the summer, I add a pop of red on my nails, my favorite pair of cork wedges (that are about a hundred years old), and a straw bag – done and done!
Blouse: Kora Rae / White Jeans: AG / Slingbacks: Sam Edelman / Blazer: Aqua by Bloomingdales / Clutch: Ted Baker (sold out) / Sunnies: Karen Walker
I looovvveeee a summer floral print. I actually don’t love a lot of prints because sometimes they can be too busy for me, but it’s really hard to go wrong with a bold floral. I especially love how this top has bits of black in it which will help take this piece right into Fall. I got this top off the Kora Rae website a few months ago, and I don’t see it on there anymore, but you’ll see this beautiful print on a few other pieces on their site if you love it like I do! I also had to share these slingbacks with you guys. I’m a huge Sam Edelman lover because they’re always super comfortable, stylish, and a great price point. These are no exception. They’re suede, so ordinarily I’d wait to wear these until September but I just had to share them with you so you can grab them before they sell out everywhere! Slingbacks are also so much more comfortable than pumps for me, so you can imagine how psyched I was to find these. I have a feeling I’ll be getting them in other colors sooner than later. And one last note – the bag I’m carrying here is actually called an “iPad clutch” – I don’t really care what it was originally made for but I took one look at that gold bow and I just couldn’t turn it down!
Hope you guys are having a fabulous first day of August (aka: The Beginning of the End for us teachers).
